Feasibility and Design
To interpret the Brief to possible options, including exploratory discussions with the Planning Authorities for style, scale, methods of construction, accommodation and value of investment. Carry out the appropriate on site surveys to determine dimensional, accessibility and utility data.
Planning
The preparation of necessary drawings, layouts, elevations, Design/Access Statements and all formal documentation for submission of applications for outline or detailed planning consents and as relevant Listed Building Consent. Participation in discussions with Planners, Conservation Officers and other interested parties during the determination process including advice on compliance with any reserved matters and subsequent conditions.
Building Regulations
Preparation of layouts, sections and detailed drawings, construction notes and general specification and documentation for submissions, including engagement, as appropriate, of other professionals such as Structural Engineers, Energy Assessors, nominated manufacturers or process specialists. The production of, in respect of Listed Building Consent, appropriate photographic records, material schedules and work method statements.
Licensed Premises
Carry out site survey; prepare layout drawings so that, in conjunction with the Client's legal representatives, formal Licensing applications can be submitted.
Contract Process
Preparation of detailed specification and particulars so that competitive tenders can be invited, analysis of responses, recommendation for appointment, and the agreement of contractual terms and conditions and specific documentation and schedules.
Construction Activities
General inspections of work, usually on a weekly basis, or specific process inspections if required, monitoring of progress, workmanship and general performance to contract. Preparation of valuations and recommendations on stage payment applications. Project completion and end of defects liability period inspections.
